Two clients fire charge calls concurrently to their nearest edge. The receiving node holds 5× the charge for 60s under its own id and gossips the hold event so every peer converges on the same reservation. When a hold's remaining balance and TTL both run low, the holding node automatically rolls into a fresh hold — no client retry, no coordination.
